On Saturday 25th April, the Edinburgh branch of SPUC will be hosting their annual Pro-Life Chain. This event marks the 48th anniversary of the passing of the Abortion Act in the UK. Since 1967, over 8 million lives has been ended by abortion and millions more damaged by the effect of the abortion. We must have the courage to stand up for those who cannot speak for themselves, and for all those who suffer openly or in silence because of an abortion experience. Please join us at this event to stand up for Life, to bring a message of hope and healing, and to help make abortion history.
Will you consider advertising it in your own parishes to help spread awareness? Here is a suggested Bulletin Notice:
‘SPUC Pro-Life Witness for the Unborn – Please join us on Saturday 25th April from 11 am till 1 pm in Lothian Road, at our annual Pro Life Chain, a silent witness for unborn children. Monsignor Kerr has been asked by Archbishop Cushley to lead us in a Rosary at the Sacred Heart Church at 10am and John Deighan SPUC Scotland new CEO, will address those attending before the chain. All are invited to join us for a light lunch after. 11,777 abortions were carried out in 2013, 142 of them were due to disability. Abortion is not the answer to a crisis pregnancy. Please join us at this event as we bear witness to the pro-life message and remember all those whose lives have been ended by abortion’
We hope to see you there!
