2. GET INVOLVED WITH A UNIVERSITY STUDENT GROUP
If you are a student, why not join or start a pro-life society at your university? It is vital that the pro-life message is heard in university campuses, in order for a pro-life culture to created. The Alliance of Pro-Life Students was formed by a group of students and graduates from different pro-life societies across the UK. Their motivation for doing so was their own experience of the successes and struggles of being part of a pro-life society at university. They recognised a need for a support network for pro-life students and groups, to help them start up, provide them with resources and support and with the transitory nature of university groups; to make sure that everything is provided to help them continue even when members and leaders graduate. Please visit www.allianceofprolifestudents.org.uk to find out more.
3. JOIN OR START PROJECT TRUTH IN YOUR AREA
Project Truth is the new youth outreach project run by SPUC Scotland. This project provides an opportunity for young people to bring the pro-life message to the genera public who might not hear it anywhere else. As we know, there is a great deal of untruth which has been accepted by large numbers of the public with regards to pro-life issues. Project Truth aims to dispel the myths and promote the truth on pro-life issues in a positive and tangible way. If you are aged between 16-30, why not join or start Project Truth in your area? Material and practical help on the day can be provided by SPUC Scotland & the Project Truth core team.

6. HELP STOP ASSISTED SUICIDE IN SCOTLAND
In November 2013 Margo MacDonald MSP launched her new Assisted Suicide (Scotland) Bill under which people as young as 16 would be able to request assisted suicide, or assist the suicide of someone else. In 2010 MSP Margo MacDonald’s very similar End of Life Assistance Bill was defeated by 85 votes to 16 in a free vote at the Scottish Parliament. Despite this overwhelming defeat, a new attempt is being made to pass the same Bill through the Scottish courts. The latest Bill is essentially a system based on that operating in Oregon, USA which has seen a 450% rise in Assisted Suicide since it was legalised in 1997. The Scottish government and the British Medical Association (BMA) have both opposed a change in the law. Please get involved in the CNK Scotland campaign to make sure this Bill is not passed. See here for more information http://www.carenotkilling.org.uk/news/scottish-bill-launched/

The impact that can be made by doing this should not be underestimated or overlooked. A recent survey showed that nearly 1 in 4 people throughout the world use social networking, people are getting so used to this method of communication that we simply must bring the pro-life message to these forums…and believe that it will make a difference! You just never know who will be touched by what you share. So get ‘liking’, ‘sharing’, ‘tweeting’ and ‘blogging’ the pro-life message! Here are just some of the sources you can use to help get you started:
- SPUC Scotland on Facebook and Twitter

9. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL CRISIS PREGNANCY CENTRE
In Scotland, the Cardinal Winning pro-Life Initiative helps women facing a crisis pregnancy. Young people can volunteer to help at the centre in Glasgow, help raise money for the organisation, or help collect good quality second hand equipment such as buggies and cots. http://cardinalwinningprolifeinitiative.wordpress.com
10. SPEAK OUT
The worst thing that we can do as pro-lifers is remain silent. Make your voice heard in 2014. Whether it’s just having a casual conversation with a friend or family member, or sharing pro-life stories on social media, it is incredibly important to make sure that you are speaking out. Pro-lifers are very rarely given a voice in the pro-abortion media, so it is up to us to get out the facts. However you do it, speak up. Find your voice and use it. Millions of unborn children don’t have a voice, and it is up to us to speak for them.
