SPUC Scotland

SPUC Scotland carries out the charitable aims of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children in Scotland.

Our vision is a world where abortion is unthinkable. We aim to achieve this by offering a serious and wide range of activities, leading the fight and campaigns for the unborn in Scotland and beyond.

As a registered charity with the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), we have four principal objects:

  1. To defend and promote the existence and value of human life from the moment of conception until natural death.
  2. To protect human life generally, whether born or unborn, in Scotland and further afield.
  3. To reassert the principle laid down in the UN Declaration of the Rights of the Child (1959) that the child "by reason of his physical and mental immaturity, needs special safeguards and care, including appropriate legal protection, before as well as after birth".
  4. To assist mothers during pregnancy and their children from the time of conception up to, during, and after birth.
