At present there are 3 pro-life university groups in Scotland:
– Dundee Life Society
– Edinburgh Life Society
– St Andrews Students for Life
Each of these groups is part of a network called the Alliance of Pro-life Students.
The Alliance of Pro-Life Students is the only organisation solely dedicated to equipping young people at university campuses nationwide to start and sustain pro-life societies. They encompass groups of faith and none in their mission is to build university pro-life communities in England, Scotland and Wales. They offer a support network to existing university groups and also help and support for students who want to start a pro-life group at their university. APS was founded by students and graduates, who were themselves members of pro-life groups at their universities. This project grew out of their recognition of a need for a support network for pro-life student groups across the country, many of whom face challenges as they work to bring the pro-life message to their campuses.
